Running social media profiles for your company or brand is time-consuming, and it can often be an afterthought. “Oh, let’s throw that on Facebook” is a phrase uttered far too often. You would love for your social profiles to be awesome and engaging, but it’s hard to A) find the time, and B) figure out how to engage your audience.
Well, it’s time to get out of that social media slump! Getting over the "not having enough time" problem is hard, but remember this: finding time to put into an awesome social media plan can have big payoffs in finding new customers/clients, creating brand ambassadors, and just getting your name seen by more eyeballs.
Here are a couple fun social media ideas for your company or brand to pull yourself out of that slump.
Run Some Ads
Social media ads or promoted posts can end up being really lucrative, as long as you’re advertising the right content in the right space. Do some research about which audience is on which platform, and run some test campaigns. For instance, you wouldn’t run a campaign meant to reach executive-level people on Facebook, or a campaign meant to reach the 50 and older crowd on Twitter.

Run a Contest/Giveaway
Contests on social media can not only be fun ways to interact with your audience, but they can also help you gain contact and interest information. You can run a contest by asking people to post using a certain hashtag, or use a plugin or form on your site to collect entries. Get creative! What can you give away or offer that your audience would be really interested in? What’s a fun way to get them involved?
Run a Social Media Specific Campaign
Using organic social posts, promoted posts, ads, or a combination of all three, come up with a campaign that’s run exclusively on social media. This is where you can get really, really creative. So creative, in fact, that it’s difficult for me to describe! So, I’m going to let this article do it for me.
