It's likely you've heard about SEO in some capacity, but what does it really mean for your organization's website? How does Search Engine Optimization translate into pushing your mission forward? We're answering all of your SEO-related questions in our upcoming webinar on Thursday, March 18th at 11am CST:

SEO for Nonprofit Websites

Here are some topics we'll cover:

1. What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization is the practice of increasing the quantity of traffic to your website - as well as the quality - through organic search engine results. We'll give guidance as to the overall purpose of SEO for nonprofit websites, what SEO is not, and pitfalls to avoid.

2. The Four Main SEO Components + Best Practices

On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is the practice of optimizing individual pages on a site through multiple important tactics.

Technical seo

Technical SEO refers to optimization of the backend of a site and a website's server, with the goal of improving the efficiency of bots and spiders crawling and indexing the site.

off-page seo

Off-page SEO deals with the way users and search engines perceive a site. It involves ways to build your website's authority and reputation, primarily through the cultivation of reputable backlinks.

local seo

While the aforementioned SEO components aim to increase a site's visibility and rankings throughout the entirety of the Internet, local SEO focuses on businesses with a physical location that serve a particular community or geographical area.

3. Building an SEO-Minded Site

The four main components of SEO direct organizations on how to optimize their already existing website elements. But your website is not a static entity. We will give you tips and best practices for both the more technical aspects of your website (website hosting, coding, etc.) and your site's content (length, structure, etc.) to keep at the forefront when building new parts of your site and creating new content.

SEO involves a lot of seemingly small efforts that when combined, given time, and well-monitored make a huge difference for a website's visibility and presence in search engine results. But SEO for nonprofit websites is unique because our nonprofit clients wear many different hats, making it difficult to take on SEO in a strategic way.

With this free webinar, we will turn your uncertainty into empowerment by arming you with:

  • An understanding of how best to delegate the components of SEO to your team
  • The tools to manage SEO progress effectively
  • The knowledge to know what to ask an agency who might be helping with your SEO efforts
