By Lisa Hirst Carnes | November 2019 - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) This is one of my favorite times of the year! I’m already combing through recipes and planning what I’ll be bringing to the big Thanksgiving Day spread this year. (I’m not hosting this year). Of course Thanksgiving is all about gratitude, giving thanks, and Give to the Max Day embodies that perfectly.   ![Give to the Max - November 14, 2019](https://320867.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/320867/hubfs/givetothemax19-01.jpg?width=3334&name=givetothemax19-01.jpg) Launched as a collaborative venture with Minnesota Community Foundations and many other organization at the helm, GiveMN was founded in 2009.  #### **GiveMN strives to make Minnesota a better place by connecting donors with organizations. So far, donors have given nearly $170 million dollars to 10,000 nonprofits and schools through the program. ** Minnesotans are generous people! In fact according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Internal Revenue Service, Feeding America, and Gallup, Minnesota ranks #3 for the most “Charitable” state. The Report defined charitable as “volunteering and service” as well as “charitable giving.”  This year, Give to the Max Day is on Thursday, November 14th but you don’t have to wait to give to your favorite organization, early giving is underway! It’s not too late to add your organization. Go to the [GiveMN website](https://www.givemn.org/) If you’re interested in starting a fundraiser or claiming your nonprofit.  At ArcStone, we love our nonprofit clients. They’re making our world a better place. It may sound cliche but it’s so true. We put together our short list of organizations. There are so many great ones out there!  #### My Pick ### 180 Degrees ![180 Degrees - Turning Lives Around](https://320867.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/320867/hubfs/givetothemax_organizations-01.png?width=1250&name=givetothemax_organizations-01.png) [https://www.givemn.org/organization/180-Degrees](https://www.givemn.org/organization/180-Degrees) “Janet Hallaway Development Director at 180 Degrees was a Happy(our) Service panelist. In a time where opioid addiction affects so many lives, we need organizations like the Steve Rummler Hope Network on the front lines of the fight against this crisis.” #### From Dan ### Heartwood Montessori School - Northeast ![Heartwood Montessori](https://320867.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/320867/hubfs/givetothemax_organizations-03.png?width=1251&name=givetothemax_organizations-03.png) [https://www.givemn.org/organization/Heartwood-Montessori-School-Northeast](https://www.givemn.org/organization/Heartwood-Montessori-School-Northeast) “They are the only nonprofit Montessori school in Northeast Minneapolis. They are also growing to accommodate the demand for students, but need more materials in order to do so.” Dan’s daughters are both enrolled at Heartland Montessori.  #### From Sydney ### Highland Park Senior High PTSA ![Highland Park High School](https://320867.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/320867/hubfs/givetothemax_organizations-04.png?width=1250&name=givetothemax_organizations-04.png) [https://www.givemn.org/organization/Hpshgive](https://www.givemn.org/organization/Hpshgive) “Highland Park has a wonderful group of kids and would greatly appreciate the support to help with paying for supplies for the kids and reading materials and so much more!” Did we mention Sydney coaches the dance team at Highland Park Senior High?
