Thanks for joining us in our Calm in the Chaos - Wine Down Wednesdays experiment today.

Here are some of the things we talked about.

### How to do Metta (Loving-Kindness) Meditation

[Jack Kornfield's](https://www.lionsroar.com/how-to-do-metta-january-2014/) take on approaching metta.

[Susan Salzberg's](https://www.mindful.org/loving-kindness-takes-time-sharon-salzberg/) approach.

#### Stop and smell the roses

People slowing down and enjoying things that in pre-pandemic life would have been missed. If you squint, you can make out the two bald eagles in the tree. ![IMG_2901](https://320867.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/320867/hubfs/IMG_2901.jpg?width=442&name=IMG_2901.jpg)

### David's 3 Things

#### You are God in Drag Poem by Hafiz

You are the sun in drag.
You are God hiding from yourself.
Remove all the “mine”—that is the veil.
Why ever worry about
Anything?
Listen to what your friend Hafiz
Knows for certain:
The appearance of this world
Is a Magi’s brilliant trick, though its affairs are
Nothing into nothing.
You are a divine elephant with amnesia
Trying to live in an ant hole.
Sweetheart, O sweetheart
You are God in
Drag!

#### Smells

[Revive Oils - They are awesome! ](https://www.revive-eo.com/shop/)Smells are direct and go past your thinking mind. They can instantly change your mindset.

#### Early Morning Walks

They are the perfect way to start the day.
