Each day, technology professionals like myself are faced with a multitude of decisions. Amazon, Azure, or Rackspace? Bulk Register or NameCheap? ColdFusion or PHP? Apache, IIS, or Nginx? SVN, Mercurial, or Git? Americano or cappuccino? This relatively long acronym or the other one?

Most people would assume that I leverage the skills I've been honing since my Tandy 1000 days to choose the best tool for the job. Others assume that I call upon ArcStone's 17 years in the web business, and let our 100+ years of collective experience be my guide. Still others would suggest that it's simply feminine intuition, or that my sidekick Mayhem is better versed in web technologies than the average pug.

The truth is that when the stakes are this high, important decisions can't be left up to simpletons with paltry earthling midi-chlorian counts.
