ArcStone Picks: Top 10 Happy Hour Spots in Lyn-Lake

For those of you who haven’t been to our office, we’re located on the Greenway in Minneapolis. North of Lyndale Avenue and Lake Street is the Midtown Greenway, a bike and walking path. Our office opens up directly to the Greenway.

Technically, we are in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood, just east of the Uptown district. Fun fact — The Lyn-Lake neighborhood used to be considered an extension of Uptown. Second fun fact — you’re not a local if you refer to Lyndale and Franklin as Uptown.

Lyn-Lake is chock-full of restaurants and bars so there are lots of places to go to kick back with a cold one.

Last week, one of our favorite clients asked me about good happy hour places in the neighborhood. As I was putting together the list, I decided to share our favorite spots with the rest of you.

Bluestem 

2610 Lyndale Ave S — Next door to French Meadow. Same owners/menu. Nice patio. Big booths inside. 

Fuji Ya 

600 West Lake Street — Discounted beer, wine appetizers, and of course sushi. 

It’s Greek to Me 

I’d be remiss not to mention this Lyn-Lake stalwart. Iconic modern Greek cuisine. They may not technically have a “happy hour” but they do have a fantastic outdoor patio. Opa! 

Lago Tacos

2901 Lyndale Ave — Mexican food. Food isn't as good as Mercado but the patio is nicer! 

Lyn-Lake Brewery

2934 Lyndale Ave S — Old theater transformed into taproom. Craft beers, rooftop patio with fire pits, and a skyline view. Food is coming soon!  LynLake will partner with a cast of rotating chefs starting in July. What’s better than beer and sunshine? 

Mercado

2904 Lyndale Ave S — Mexican food from the folks who run Parlour, PS Steak, Borough. Good margaritas. Small patio outside. Big tables inside. 

Moto-i Ramen and Sake

2940 Lyndale Ave S — Great rooftop patio. 

Nightingale

2551 Lyndale Ave S — Cozy neighborhood spot. Great cocktails, wine list. Oysters, cheeseboards, etc. 

The Lynhall

2640 Lyndale Ave S — Beautiful space. Big tables. Counter service. 

WSK / World Street Kitchen

2743 Lyndale Ave S — Two happy hours! Discounted drinks and apps.
