Job title: Designer

Start date: December 2013

Path to ArcStone: I went to school for graphic design at the University of Minnesota. The first web class I took was called Interface Design and as soon as I started, I knew I wanted to do digital design. I applied for an internship at ArcStone during my last semester of school (it seemed like a great fit!) and the rest is history!

Professional strengths: I really enjoy the early planning phases of projects, especially sitemaps, wireframes and planning out the design patterns. I like to get inside the user's head and think about how they would use the app/site. I have a knack for organizing information to create a great experience for the user.

"ArcStone is like a box of chocolates": Because ArcStone is relatively small office, I get to do so many different things - web and blog design, writing, infographics, wireframing. It was pretty overwhelming when I started, but I now I appreciate the variety.

"Turnout is fair plié": I started dancing when I was 4 years-old, and I’m still doing it! It’s a great creative outlet for me. I teach ballet and jazz at a studio in St. Paul and I love it. I usually teach younger kids, about age 8-10. It’s a really fun age - they become more independent and focused, and they have the funniest sense of humor.

What’s for lunch? There’s so many options around the Lake and Lyndale area. My go to, though, is French Meadow; I like to head over there for an afternoon treat - cookies, muffins, scones... everything is so yummy!
