What is Give to the Max Day?

A day sponsored by GiveMN.org, it is devoted to maximizing donations that will benefit local nonprofits and schools.

Examples of how you can still participate:

  • Look for GiveMN at five Metro Transit locations during your morning commute on November 12, 2015. If you're wearing green, you're elgible for prizes that will go towards your favorite local nonprofit. Each location will have nonprofits that have ways you can volunteer in a quick and easy fashion - such as while you go to or from work! You may even receive a free KIND Bar and warm drink.

Locations include:

- Downtown Minneapolis near Nicollet Mall station
- Uptown Transit Center
- Bloomington (28th Ave.) Park & Ride
- Maplewood Mall Park & Ride
- I-394 and CR 73 Park & Ride

  • Ride home for free: Yet another incentive to take transit on Thursday, you'll be able to go to GiveMN.org and receive a free Metro Transit downloadable pass. Print it out, then show it to the bus operator or transit police between 6 a.m and midnight on Nov. 12.
  • "Give on the go" on their website. It is optimized for mobile and meant to be easy and rewarding for you to make a quick donation.
  • Attend an event: They have over 40 events going on between Tues. Nov. 10 and Thurs. Nov. 11. This includes improv theater, happy hour, a burpee contest, free donuts, dancing, craft beer and much more!
