Reasons You Should Be Blogging (Even if No One Is Reading)

This is a post for those days you just don't see the point in blogging, you're uninspired to write your blog post, or you haven't even set up a blog in the first place. Here are several reasons you need to get writing.

3. Improve Your Skillset - When blogging on a particular subject, it's important to know what you are talking about and that comes from research. Blogging leads you to researching your subject(s), thus improving your knowledge and skills.

4. Sales - Without being too spammy, a blog highlighting your business – be it a service, actual product – is a great way to bring in sales when people are searching online. It also shows why your particular product is special.

5. Content - A new post is a way to let your customers know what is going on in your world. Content is also important in that it can provide the answers to questions from your customers.

6. Extended Search Life - While a post has the strongest legs within 24 hours of being published, it can always serve as a way for potential customers to find you via search. Content can work in your favor for many months and years long after you hit publish.

7. Clarity - Blogging encourages the writer to be clear on their opinions on a subject and allows them to clarify their objectives.

8. Quality Over Quantity - Even if you have an audience of only ten people, it's important to remember that what you are writing can change their views. Who is connecting with you and your blog? Do you know? Just keep blogging.
