Tips for choosing a marketing automation platform
- This chart is far from holistic but rather asnapshot to quickly gauge what the market is like. If you glance at the starting monthly costs, you are able to differentiate the typical size company that uses their software. SMBs usually go for something like HubSpot or InfusionSoft while Eloqua is often viewed as an enterprise solution.
- All are great... but only for the right type of customer. Focus on matching your needs and budget with their features.
- Once you have it narrowed down to two or three, demo or use a free trial to compare user experiences.
- Ask your marketing / web agency! We have demoed and/or used many of these marketing automation products for our own business. Be sure to choose one that works from both a technical and marketing perspective.
- Keep in mind, automation software might not be right for you at all depending on the industry you are in or the # of internal resources you have. Alternative services can be used to manage different aspects of your marketing - Email (Mailchimp), building landing pages (LeadPages) or tracking contacts (Salesforce).
